The LHC
September 10th, 2008
Well, over the next couple of weeks there is going to be an awful lot of hubbub about the LHC having gone live today. I can’t wait til these people learn that the particles need to collide first before anything can remotely happen.
Looking forward to going through this again in 6-8 weeks time, which having a quick look at my calendar is around the time we’ll hear back if we got into YC or not.
I must admit it would be a shame to get in, only to find the world was annihilated a week later, so in the meantime, keep an eye on hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com (not my site, but I found it amusing) to make sure that we’re all still alive.
I thought I would syndicate it’s atom (hehe) feed in my sidebar

Omnibox Suggestion - umm, Anal?
September 8th, 2008
I’ve been testing out Chrome over the last couple of days, so far everything’s been real smooth. It’s been the kind of software that has really impressed me.
That is until about 5 minutes ago.
You see, it’s nearly midnight here, and I thought I would quickly check my Google Analytics account before heading to bed. So I thought why not give it a whirl, it can’t hurt can it?
So I started typing in “analytics” into the bar, I figured this would suggest Google’s Analytics, as I visit it about once or twice a week, however I noticed this while I was typing.
I have absolutely no idea why the omnibox decided that I would be interested in Anal Fixations or even Anal Fissures, but how is A Rant A day’s recent article related to anal?
I have to admit I was a little offended to say the least and I’m no porn freak. For reference, here is “ana”
Again, I’m not sure how “arantaday” is close to “ana” and I’ve never visited anaskyweb.com - so I guess Google just doesn’t want to suggest one of their own products I use often.
Real strange I thought, time to submit this as a bug report.
